Working with a new Camera

So, being in the Intro to Digital Media class I have to work with DSLR cameras. Well, I have never used one and now I have to jump into the deep end. My mom has a Canon Rebel SL1 that I will be borrowing for the duration of this class and I love it. I have some trouble, but that is expected. Everyone else who has more knowledge in photography tells me it is a great starting camera. AND WITH THAT, here are a few of me favorite unedited pictures I have taken so far with it.
