One thing that stood out while I was walking around taking pictures was that people would stop me and ask for a picture but I kept telling them I don't shoot people. I prefer nature over people any day! To me nature is reliable and ready at your will. People flake out and always have excuses or just plain treat you disrespectful. I do not mind taking pictures of people if I know they are reliable and will come prepared. I feel people and nature both have such emotion and can tell a story that will take a hundred years to read. Another thing I noticed is that I was dressed in nicer clothes and stiletto heels and STILL got dirty and laid or sat in the grass or concrete. Opportunities for great pictures don't wait until you are ready. Seize the shot!
My favorite pictures from this series is the first dandelion, the honey bee, and second tree. Each is so pure and has a complexity to it. If I had to sum up my time shooting these it would be serene.
