Fall Self Portraits
I always get creative and want to do self portraits when no one is around. This makes it ten times more challenging to actually make sure I am in focus, the exposure is correct and everything like that. Thankfully I know how to take good images that I just have to work with what and who I got.
Now, I have gotten presets and I keep thinking I got a fall preset that I want, but no. I have one, but it won't work for the style I am going for currently. Whenever I use presets, I select them, study how the controls are actually set, and then I either take the preset off and recreate it or I leave it on and start my work from there. A preset isn't the end for me. Some photographers will preset their entire album they just shot and never go back and check. Using a preset is just a guide to see either where you want to go or how you want to start. Even people who use the same style in most albums don't preset and done. They preset and go in to tweak and double check.
Here are my three fall self portraits. I had around eighty shots just to get this three but is one thing I have learned in my basic photography class: contact sheets and metering are everything. Both show you know what you are doing and are not afraid to explore the subject and composition more to see if there is a better shot.
